Emily Bastion
I grew up with a love of interior design. My mom was an architectural draftsperson, and when my parents built their home in 1997, the career of interior design was opened to me. I loved to pour over wallpaper books with my mom (and still do!) and tag along for construction site visits. I later went on to study interior design at Michigan State’s CIDA accredited program. After graduating with my Bachelor of Arts degree, I spent the first decade of my career working in commercial/retail design downtown Detroit, where I perfected my skillset in spatial planning and fixture design. After my world shifted in 2020, due to both the pandemic and motherhood, I pivoted towards my original passion of residential design, which grew to the formation of Emily Bastion Interiors. I am so grateful to have a career doing what I love while helping my clients live best in their homes. I live and work in charming downtown Dexter, MI with my husband Matt, two little boys Graham and Noah, and golden retriever puppy Maverick.
